The scope of work involves the synthesis and application of specific primers for PCR-based amplification of DNA sequences from Clostridium botulinum types C and D, Clostridium chauvoei, and Clostridium septicum. These primers will be used to amplify genes related to botulinum neurotoxins, CctA, nanA, fliC, alpha toxin, beta channel-forming cytolysin, and sialidase domain-containing proteins. This work forms part of my research focused on developing a combination vaccine for animal pathogens, and includes primer synthesis, PCR amplification, sequencing, and downstream analysis to ensure the correct target sequences are amplified for further testing in vaccine formulation.
