Coal-Fired Boiler Operator Training Specification Purpose of the training is to equip boiler operators with the knowledge and practical skills required to operate, monitor, and maintain coal-fired steam boilers safely and efficiently in accordance with South African safety regulations and operational standards. Training Objectives After completing the training, the operator should be able to: Understand boiler design and steam generation principles Operate coal-fired boilers safely Perform boiler start-up, shutdown, and emergency procedures Monitor boiler parameters and control systems Maintain efficient combustion Perform routine inspections and maintenance Identify and troubleshoot common boiler faults Apply boiler safety regulations and standards Upon successful completion, participants receive: Boiler Operator Certificate (Coal-Fired Boiler Operation) Training must comply with: Department of Employment and Labour Boiler Regulations Occupational Health and Safety Act SANS boiler safety standards
